Well this week was a slow one. For two days we didn't have anything to do at school because we finished so early during the week and they weren't giving Juniors any customers. I ended up leaving early on Friday because I was so sick of sitting at my station with nothing to do.. 4 hours of nothing? What did they expect? I just don't see how they expect us to learn anything if we never get clients! Anyways...

I got about 6 manicures last week and a paraffin hand dip (which I strongly recommend!!) so my hands are extra soft. We also did pedicures on each other which  wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, but still.... feet a disgusting. It's a mental thing I guess, but it still isn't my FAVORITE thing to do.

I only have about 2 more full weeks until I graduate out to the floor permanently... hopefully the days get a little more exciting, but I highly doubt it.

I'm almost a week behind :] Oops! Sorry about that, I kind of kept putting off writing this since I feel like no one reads it anyways.. so I guess it's sort of for myself more than anything. Anyways.

My Great Aunt came in again last Friday for a perm, which turned out pretty great. I haven't seen it since it was finished and I blew it out (not usually how she wears it). This week I waxed Sara from school's face (brows lip and chin).. not that she had any hair to wax anyways. And we also waxed some armpits, legs, and arms! So this weekend I'll post again for how Friday went!

I actually had my first client Friday afternoon. My Great Aunt, Jane, came in and I trimmed her hair, roller set it, and styled it. I hope she loves it as much as she said she did!! If anyone needs a trim, a cut, a perm, or a relaxer.. make an appointment with me! I need as much practice I can get!

Also, on Thursday... I cut all my hair off! I cut 10 inches off, to donate to Locks of Love (what a perfect month to do it) and then 3 more inches in styling. One of the girls in my class did it and I absolutely love it!

I'm finished with my first week of classes. I started at Carousel Beauty College on Sept. 28. I've learned quite a bit and I'm very happy with my decision to go here.

This past week I learned:
Proper Hair Washing
Roller Sets
Extensions (we don't do these at school)
Braiding
and a few other minor things.


Next week I'll be learning (Oct 5 - 8):
Cutting
Perms
Relaxers

On Friday's I'm out on the floor so if you'd like to book an appointment with me, I'm there from 10 to 530 (with the exception of my lunch break from 12 to 1). I could use all the help I can, so please if you have some extra cash stop in and let me do something to your hair!
